aFaultyChromosome is a clubhouse full of like-minded friends experimenting with various art forms while trying to unlearn all the lies we've been fed for our whole lives.  We hope that by doing so and sharing what we learn, it will make people feel less alone and crazy in the world (ourselves included).

We make music in which to flop around without a care to. We make noise and clap our hands.  We sing proud and free (and slightly off-key) about ideas and feelings that matter to us.  We hope our words make you think, and we hope that our songs make you happy.

We also do scribbly drawings, crazy comics and cartoons, and lots of other kinds of sloppy self-expression.  But no matter what the project, we always try to remember that "mistakes" are just other people's opinions in art, and so long as we accept what some might consider "faulty," we will be happier and better for it (we have been shamed for far too long).

In this age of marketing of fantasy escapes, repressed sex and antibacterial hand sanitizer fear-mongering, we might come off as rather messy, ugly and, yes, even "weird."  But all that means is that we choose to think critically, and try to be as conscious as we can without allowing the dominant culture's laughter at our differences to force us to change.

We are trying our best to be the change we want to see in the world.  We're flailing and floundering, but at least we can proudly smile and make funny faces at ourselves when we see our reflection in the mirror (which is something we struggled to do when we weren't trying).

We believe in honesty and truth and sincerity and kindness and smiling and waving and deschooling and unschooling and community and connections and gardens and potlucks and slumber parties and making gifts instead of buying them and writing cards instead of purchasing someone else's pre-approved, holiday-appropriate emotions.

We're done being ashamed.  Join us?

Oh, we do not want "fans."  We would rather make friends; human beings to connect with and share stories with. We believe in honesty through art.  When we were alone and confused, art was our best friend.  When no adult would listen to us, art embraced our thoughts.  When we were frustrated, art yelled louder to show that we were not alone in our pain.

We are trying our very best not to go crazy.  We are trying to feel like everything is going to be okay.  Sometimes it's hard, but it's a whole lot easier when we surround ourselves with people to pick us up when we're feeling down.  This is why we are here in your life.  We are trying to pull you up.

If you can't afford to buy our things, it's okay (this is why we give everything away for free).  We just want you to enjoy them and (ideally) learn from them.

But if you are rich, instead of living in selfish luxury, could you instead please help us and
